Interesting that God had to rest after creating man. Heaven, earth, seas, land, skies, plants, animals no problem. He created us and rested, makes you go hmmmm……
Many times we get in debates about whether God truly created in 6 “days” or if it was an elaborate period of millions of years, or some other unit of time.
Knowing God, why did it even take 6 days? Why was He so process-oriented, so methodical, so sequenced…why not 6 seconds? Why the record of day-by-day, piece-by-piece craftsmanship? Why did He want us to know the sequence? Why not just say, “In the beginning, God created everything.” and move on to the other narratives?
I’m less perplexed by the 6 days vs billions of years, and more intrigued by the 6 days vs 6 seconds.
